There are hundreds of font styles to choose from and the space used by each letter varies from one to another. The difference and width can be extreme. By providing the maximum space available, we will be able to select or adapt a font style to fit in the space you have available for the height of lettering you require.
Sticker vinyls are manufactured in a wide variety of colours, and we keep many in stock. Use the colour picker to give us an idea of the colour you want to use.
If we have it in stock, we will go ahead; if not, we will check with our supplier to see what is available. Colours that are not available in solid vinyl may need to be printed.
We do lots of vinyl lettering for vehicles and boats, especially NSC and registration letters. Black and red are most common colours. Two sets of the same lettering are ordered, one for each side of the vehicle.
For windows, white is the best colour to use. From a distance, windows appear dark, so dark letters do not provide enough contrast for easy visibility.
Do It Yourself Installation
Cut vinyl lettering can be installed perfectly if you take your time and follow a few basic techniques. The best way to prepare yourself for the job is to watch how it is done. Here is a video showing several techniques: Vinyl Lettering Installation How To
When it comes to cut vinyl lettering, the size of the sticker is dictated by the size of the space you have to put the sticker. Text can take up a lot of space, depending on the font.
A line of text like “Commercial and Residential”, just 2″ tall, can extend to over 60″ in length with some fonts. This is why it is important to tell us the length of the space you have, or to create your own mock up and test it in advance. Condensed fonts make shorter texts.
Our goal is to help you find the most easily readable font for the space available.
Also remember that some lower case letters have tails. When you see “Vinyl Lettering”, for example, the “y” and the “g” hang below the line. This can affect the sizing. If you are ordering 2″ lettering in lower case, a capital letter (The V and L in my example) may only be 1.5″ tall. You should take that into account.
Yes. If you want a logo, there are two ways that can be achieved.
1. Your logo is a single colour silhouette. In this case, the logo can be cut from vinyl just like your lettering. You will need to send us an outlined/vector version of the logo for that. If you want the logo to be in cut vinyl and 12″ tall, just enter the word “LOGO” in the text field and select 12″ as the height. Make sure to make a note that your order includes a logo cut.
2. Your logo is multicoloured and you want it cut to shape. In this case, include a vinyl sticker in your order, and request lamination to give your logo sticker a long life.

No. That would be painful. Your lines of text will be cut and finished in full words or lines of text. All of the words will be on a piece of backing paper and will be held together with transfer tape. You can install an entire line of text in only a few minutes using the right technique.
