Sandwich Board Signs
The metal frame is covered with a black powder coating to prevent rust.
Solid, locking hinged braces on each side keep the frame in the open position. Rubber feet prevent sliding or damage that may be caused by bare metal contacting the sidewalk.
A rubber coated handle on the top of the frame makes carrying easy.
The size you select when ordering is the viewable insert sign size. The legs of frame add 4″ to the height of the sandwich board.
To illustrate, the 24″ x 32″ sandwich board, when it is open and set up on the sidewalk, measures 36.25″ tall, 24.25″ wide, and the feet are 22.5″ apart at the base.
Because the sign slides into the frame, .25″ along the both side and bottom edges is not viewable.
We offer several sidewalk sign frame and insert sizes. 24″ x 32″ and 24″ x 36″ are the most popular sizes. The 24″ x 32″ sign weighs 5 pounds.
It is important to make check what size of signs is suitable and permitted for the sidewalk outside your shop or restaurant.
The most common sandwich board sign size is 24″ x 36″, followed closely by 24″ x 32″. Most customers choose 4mm coroplast inserts, and many see the wisdom of printing a different sign on each side to double the use of their new frame.
Lamination is a way to protect the investment.
Start with an artboard matching the size of the sandwich board sign insert in order to get the best results and avoid pixilation.
Make sure that logos and images used in your design are vector or high resolution.
Please allow about a .25″ bleed on each side of the sign.
Save the file as a pdf, jpg or tif file.
If you want to see a printed proof to ensure quality print, please understand that only a cross section portion of the sign will be printed to demonstrate colour and/or quality concerns.
The City of Vancouver, BC has bylaws governing the use of sandwich board signs on sidewalks. Do a quick search for rules for your city.
